Employee Onboarding SOP

Purpose: To ensure new employees are properly introduced to SatCom Networks’ procedures, culture, and tools.

Procedure:

  1. Welcome and Introduction

    • Provide a warm welcome and introduce the new employee to their team and other departments.
    • Assign a mentor or buddy for the initial onboarding period.
  2. Training Schedule

    • Create an onboarding schedule covering company policies, SOPs, and relevant tools.
    • Include hands-on training for tools such as the ticketing system, inventory system, and communication channels.
  3. Equipment and Account Setup

    • Provide necessary equipment (e.g., laptop, tools) and set up access to relevant systems and software.
    • Ensure the new employee receives an email address, ticketing system login, and access to project management tools.
  4. Performance Check-Ins

    • Schedule regular check-ins during the first 90 days to address questions, provide feedback, and gauge progress.
    • Gather feedback from the new employee to identify any gaps in the onboarding process.
